Review by Janis:
The VCD works on a personal computer if it has 133 mghtz or more. You get the lyrics on the monitor and the audio on the personal computer speakers. HOWEVER, you cannot take the training vocal out unless you have a multplex button on your mixer. You have to run the output from your PC to your sound mixer, hit the multiplex button and then run that through your stereo speakers. If it sounds complicated, it IS!!!
I was advised to stop all that nonsense and buy a DVD karaoke player for $800. It will play the VCD disc. However, everybody is switching to DVD anyway so VCDs will be out of date soon.
Frank took my VCD to a karaoke place and them record the non-vocal tracks for me for $10 onto audiotape. The fidelity is lower, of course, but at least I now have something to work from.
BTW, the overall quality of the VCD was very good. Excellent. Mama is excellent except it does not have Connie's intro. and all lyrics are in English. I give it an "A."
